Dare to Dream: Get Educated was founded by Connie Baker and Dorothy Valintis. They both attended  AAUW (American Association of University Women) National Convention in Phoenix, AZ in 2007, where they learned about a conference for middle school and high school Latinas presented by some AAUW women from California.

About Us

Our primary purpose is to inspire and encourage middle school and high school aged Latinas, especially within underserved communities, to strongly consider pursuing a career.

We also aim to educate their parents, so that they may be better prepared to support their daughters along this challenging journey.  Our second purpose is to help Latina students to thrive in their college and professional careers through mentorship, networking and recognition.
